Received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Panama in 1966, after submitting his thesis on "Civil Cassation in Theory and under Panamanian Law." Later he obtained in 1969 his doctoral degree in labor law, cum laude, from the University of Rome, writing his thesis on "The Union Walkout."

He has served as cabinet Minister of Labor and Social Welfare (1972-1975) and of Education (1988-1989). He served also as Magistrate of the Elections Tribunal (1980-1984); Commissioner of Legislation (1975-1978); and Legal Counsel in the President's Office (1971-1972).

He is also professor of labor law and procedure since 1969, and professor and coordinator of the Master.

Received his law degree from the University of Panama in 1984, submitting his thesis on "The Crime of Unlawful Use of Trade Marks."

He has served in several positions within the Attorney General's Department, such as Municipal Prosecutor in the cities of Panama and Colon (1980-1984), City Prosecutor in both cities (1984-1991) and Secretary of the Distric Attorney.

Jorge Marengo

He obtained his law degree form the Universidad de Panama in 1992, after completing his thesis " The Evolution of the organization of the judicial and Administrative jurisdictions in the labor field".

In addition he has a Master"s degree in Administration from the Universidad de Panama and in Puerto Rico respectively (1975).

He had served in different positions, as ViceMinister and Minister of labor (1984-1985); President of the Board of Directos of the National Vocational Institute (INAFOR 1985); Presidential advisor (1986-1989); advisor to the Panamanian members of the board of directors of the Panama Canal Commission (1980-84); General Secretary of the Ministry of Planing and economic policy (1975); and during the last year he worked as one of the principal directors of the Interoceanic Region Authority (1995-1999).

He also served as a consultant of the Latinoameric Economic System (SELA).

Mr. Marengo is member of different civic institutions and groups, is an active member of Kiwanis Club in Panama, member of the patronage of the Oncology Hospital, Pro Fe foundation, Old Panama Foundation etc.

Education: LL.B Degree (Universidad Católica Santa Maria La Antigua Law School after the Seminar of Specialization in Electronic Commerce Law and Intellectual Property Law); Diploma in Banking Services for the International Commerce (Universidad Latina de Panamá); Postgraduate Course in International Private Law (University of Salamanca, Spain). Actually, she is pursuing a Master Degree (LL.M) in Commercial Law at the Universidad Interamericana de Panamá and a Diploma in Mediation and Arbitration at the Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua.

She is a member of the National Bar Association and the Inter-American Bar Association with head office in Washington, United States. She also has a Real Estate Brokerage License from the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Panama.

In 1998 she began an internship in Rubio, Alvarez, Solís y Abrego, working especially in the commerce and investments arena. Since she also worked in the Superintendence of Banks of Panama, she has wide knowledge in the banking area, public hiring and tenders as well.

His laboral experience begun as a legal assistant in judicial and administrative cases of The Firm Rubio, Alvarez, Solis y Abrego in the year two thousand six.

He is member founder of the Club Activo 20-30 La Chorrera, founded on March, fifteen on two thousand three, having the charge of Director and Vice president in the years two thousand six and seven, respectively.

He was born the 24 of September of 1983 in the City of Panama. He obtained the degree of Attorney at Law and Political Sciences in the University of Panama. He obtained the maxim qualification in the titled work of graduation: "The probatory means in the processes of civil responsibility by damages to the atmosphere", which was recommended for its publication.

He obtained the degree of Master in International Legal Studies in the American University, Washington College of Law, United States.
